A Maritz Research study "confirmed that decor improvements make a strong impact on home buyers and can ultimately affect a home's market value." They found that a surprising 41% of men put a premium on decor compared to 30% of women! They also found that a full 63% of buyers preferred a higher priced home that does not require any renovations over a lower priced fixer-upper.
What this means: Home staging can have a significant affect on the market value and appeal of your home. You're better off presenting a "show home" (which a talented home stager can create for you), then lowering your price and trying to sell a home that doesn't show well and looks like it needs work.

Whether you are struggling through a decorating project or trying to get your house ready to go on the market, Debra Gould offers one-on-one coaching by phone at the rate of US $200 per hour.
Her goal is to help you get "unstuck". With information, encouragement and a dose of inspiration, you'll be able to make decisions and take action.
How it works
Use the link below to order your one hour home staging consultation which will take place by phone.
You'll immediately receive an email confirmation with your receipt, plus a special link to get into Debra Gould's online calendar and book your meeting at a mutually convenient time.
You will also recieve instructions to email your photos up to 24 hours before your phone consultation. For most homes, a maximum of 3 or 4 digital shots per room are sufficient.
Debra Gould, The Staging Diva will personally review your photos on the phone with you and provide advice on everything from furniture placement to wall color, what to get rid of for showings, what to add, etc. The emphasis is on using what you already have, sometimes moving pieces between rooms.
When you sign up for one-on-one "virtual staging" coaching with Staging Diva: Debra Gould will review your photos and give you advice by phone. You'll learn how to use what you already have in much better ways!
