Pattern by Design™ is a vibrant line of patterns for home furnishings and accessories including: furniture, floorcloths (handpainted rugs), wall hangings, place mats, boxes, clocks, mirrors, journals and more.
Patterns are full of life and blend easily with a variety of decorating styles. They can be fun, sometimes bold and at other times restful.

Think how easy it is to warm up a living room with a patterned throw cushion on a plain couch, with an eye-catching shower curtain in a modest bathroom, a bold duvet cover in the bedroom, or a bordered floor cloth in the kitchen.

"I have been designing patterns ever since I can remember but I refocused that passion when I started painting floorcloths on Salt Spring Island," says Debra. Since that time, she has created a myriad of original hand cut stamps and stencils which she uses to build her patterns.
Dubbed "as color conscious as Matisse" in a Boulevard Magazine cover story, Debra's work is featured in the book "Floorcloth Magic," in numerous magazines and she appeared on HGTV in 2002, 2003 and 2004.

Original art adds tremendous interest to a room. Debra's abstract painting "Duality" is shown at right with a metal vessel by Deep Cove artist Michael Mintern, ceramic bowl by Denys James and raku box by Seattle-born artist Mas Funo.
